SMS/Text Messaging Terms and Conditions
These terms govern DentalWorld's patient text messaging program.
Program description. DentalWorld operates a text messaging program for existing and prospective patients. By providing your mobile number and giving written consent, you agree to receive SMS text messages from DentalWorld.
Types of messages you will receive:
- Appointment reminders and confirmations
- Scheduling and rescheduling notifications
- Notification of earlier available appointment times
- Treatment and recall follow-up communications
- Customer care messages and responses to your inquiries
Message frequency. Message frequency varies based on your appointments and care schedule. Most patients receive approximately 1 to 4 messages per month.
Cost. Message and data rates may apply. DentalWorld does not charge for text messages; however, your mobile carrier's standard message and data rates apply to messages you send and receive. Contact your carrier for details of
your plan.
How to opt out. You may cancel the SMS service at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After you send STOP, we will send one confirmation message and you will receive no further text messages. If you
want to rejoin, reply START or contact our office.
How to get help. For assistance, reply HELP to any message or call our office at (704) 636-7240. Replying HELP returns a message identifying our practice and explaining how to opt out.
Consent is not a condition of purchase or treatment. Agreeing to receive text messages is entirely optional. Declining does not affect your ability to receive dental treatment or any other service from DentalWorld. Patients who decline are contacted by telephone instead.
How consent is obtained. Consent is collected in writing, in person at our office, via an opt-in checkbox on our New Patient Intake Form or Patient Information Update Form. The checkbox is unchecked by default and requires the
patient to actively check it. We do not purchase, rent, or obtain mobile numbers from third parties or marketing lists.
Carrier liability. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery of text messages is subject to effective transmission by your mobile carrier and is outside DentalWorld's control.
Supported carriers. AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Sprint, Boost, Cricket, MetroPCS, U.S. Cellular, Virgin Mobile, and most other U.S. carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy. Your mobile number and messaging consent are used only to communicate with you about your care, appointments, and requests. Mobile opt-in information and consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your information.
Eligibility. The messaging program is available to existing and prospective patients of DentalWorld who are 18 years or older, or to the parent or legal guardian of a minor patient.
Changes to these terms. We may update these SMS terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
